Finding Faith
2020 was a transformative year for me in a lot ways. Most notably I found my faith and realized I've been shut down emotionally for about 3 decades. Finally being able to take the burden of life off my shoulders and put it on a higher power has given me an indescribable sense of relief.
I spent the year working intensely on deepening my connection to the universe through meditation and shadow work. In return I was shown some pretty incredible things, and felt things that can't be described to anyone who has never felt them. It's like trying to explain the taste of an orange to someone who hasn't tasted an orange...there just isn't language for what you're trying to describe.
There's a whole lot to unpack still, but I can say with certainty I am a completely different person from 12 months ago. I have a sense of love, joy, compassion, and intuition that I've never had before.
With those internal changes will come some pivots in the external world as well. Consider this your warning: you're probably going to see some things from me this year you don't expect because I'm no longer the person I was when you met me. That person was full of self-hate, self-pity, and overwhelm. Now I've stepped into my true power and I know with certainty the universe has my back so I have nothing to worry about.
So here is a vision of what 2021 will look like for me and anyone willing to come along for the wild ride. I'll leave you with my ethos, which I wrote earlier this year:
My work is of the highest calling. I am a leader, healer, and guide. Helping others free themselves from limiting beliefs is my life’s work.
I act with confidence, harmony, generosity, discipline, charisma, and grace. I am strict with myself and liberal with others.
I am a simple man of service. I give without expectation of return and believe that means more for me- not less.
My intuition recognizes the energy around us. I can harness that power to find balance and help others do the same.
I am humble. I take ownership of what’s happening around me when things go wrong and give credit to others when things go right.
I can make this world better, therefore I must.
