A Punch is Coming

SOUND UP so you can hear Emma squeal when she hits that 45 degree water. I was so proud of her for sticking with it and staying in for 90 seconds.

That first shock of cold can get really intense and lead to hyperventilation and anxiety. The key is controlling your breath and getting out of your mind by settling into your body.

People often ask why I love cold water. The most applicable lately is the ability to find your center when things get intense in your environment. We can't control life's curveballs, but we can control how we respond to them. The cold water offers an opportunity to practice how you'll respond the next time life 'punches you in the face'.

The next punch is coming. Are you ready?
